Noquisi trotted in from the direction of the Oaks, and leaped around in the rain. She dove into the shallow end off the creek and started swimming around in the cool, refreshing water. She saw fish of all colors when she opened her amber eyes to the underwater paradise. She leaped up out of the water onto the sand and lay there. She enjoyed times like these, just sitting in the rain, no worries in the world. Noquisi wanted this moment to last forever.

Noquisi bounds up to the edge of the creek, and is out of breath. She dives into the swallow, slow-moving end of the creek and splashes around. No one is around to see how foolish she is being, and she is grateful. Embrace your inner pup! She thinks. Noquisi pads out of the water and lays on a warm rock in the sun to dry off a bit. She cleans her fur a bit while shes at it.

Sitting on a rock further upstream, Wohali watched as Noquisi swam around the creek. "Having fun?" he said loudly.

As she was laying there in the creek, she smelled delicious smells wafting over to the river from the Human Place. Her mouth watered and for a second, Noquisi dreamt of begging for food from the humans. She shook her head hard, as if she could rid her head of these awful visions. She was full, and she would never run out of food here, she had a wonderful family, and she was free to go anywhere. She couldnt believe herself for thinking like this after what happened to her family. She bowed her head in shame and regret. Shame for thinking like that, and regret for her family.
Seeing Wohali downriver she started. "Um... Yes?" she called.

"Oh well thats good.. ?" he said awkwardly, not expecting that reaction. "G'bye then." The wolf trotted away, annoyed with himself. That was stupid. I just made myself look like a total idiot. he thought angrily, Being friendly just doesnt work for me i guess.

Seeing Wohali trot away, she sighed. I should stop feeling sorry for myself and get on with life. A single tear fell to the ground as she stood up, but was quickly washed away but the creek. She ran after Wohali and called out," Wait! I didn't mean to jump, I guess I'm a little off today," she shrugged. "I'm going rabbit hunting, if you wanna come, that'd be fun."

Still feeling a little crestfallen, he turned and replied, "Yeah sure I'll come."

"Where should we go?" She asked," I don't know if I can stand the smell of the flowers at Lilac Hill," She joked, "The Small Pond?"

Yanah crept slowly up to the creek and crouched, ears swiveling. She inhaled deeply, taking in the earthy scents and wafting pollen from the nearby flora. A couple yards away, a patch of bracken began rustling ever so slightly. Turning in that direction, Yanah stalked slowly closer, each footfall light and soundless. When she was less than 3 feet away, she sank to the ground and waited. Soon after, a vole trundled out, whiskers twitching. Not skipping a beat Yanah lunged and slammed both paws down on the vole, tiny bones breaking under the force of the impact. As she lifted her paws, it twitched painfully, half dead. Leaning over, she nipped it on the neck and ended it's suffering. Selecting a stretch of moss, Yanah sat to eat.

Noquisi dipped her head in greeting as she padded up. "That was a good kill," she commented as she padded off to the edge of the water. Noquisi padded along the edge of the water and smelled rabbit. She followed the scent and saw a plump rabbit scuffling along the ground for food. Noquisi crouched and slowly padded forward. She was looking too intently on the rabbit, and not enough on the ground, so she stepped on a twig, startling the rabbit. Cursing under her breath, Noquisi darted through the woods after it. The rabbit the circled around back towards the creek, and Noquisi began to gain on it. Again, she was focused too much on the rabbit, and she ran straight into a tree. "Holy! You troll faced rabbit!" she cursed, rubbing her head. Though, to her luck, the tree was weak, so she knocked a snacking squirrel right out of it. Acting fast, she cracked its neck with her paws and felt it go limp in her jaws. "Redemption!" she muttered, and carried the squirrel out to the creekside. She finished the creature, and licked her jaws. She then sat back and watched the clouds scud across the startling bright blue of the sky.
