ooc; going rebel and double posting > As Apricus meandered dissapointedly back to the river the rain began to fall. It fell softly at first, gently, almost tauntingly and he gazed up at the thick gray clouds swirling high above him. He sighed and decided to retreat to the shelter of his den. As he made his way through the forest at a quick trot it started to pour. By the time he had finally made it to his den he was soaked to the skin.

Apricus threw himself into the cold water and paddled around for a bit. What else is there to do around here? he thought to himself. He glanced around the forest and realised how small Kylarad's territory actually was. Maybe he and some of the other pack members could explore around and expand the territory. Especially with winter coming on, they'd need more hunting grounds.

Brianos entered Elk Run Creek, in hope of finding Emiko. "HELLO?" he called out, hoping to receive some kind of answer. After a few minutes of not getting one, he began to howl.

Emiko exited the shadows, grinning from ear to ear. "Hello, Brianos." She hissed, hackles rising. "What makes you come out here?" ooc; I was given permission to kill Brianos from Brianos himself. He no longer wants to role play here. "Never mind that. Brianos, I am going to kill you. You do not belong in this pack." She said, and with that, leapt at his throat, tearing out large chucks of the wolf's skin. Blood poured along the ground. Once the wolf went limp, Emiko threw him into the dirt bed, covering him with rocks. Her scent would never be found. And with that, Emiko padded away calmly.

ooc; I just don't think he had time anymore.
And it gave Emiko a chance to do something truly evil. :/

As Lya arrived at the creek, the fresh scent of the elk lingering. Perfect, really, that they were just here. Following in the scent of the elk, she lead her pack to them. The herd was dwindling, but there were several weak cows in the herd. Despite the pending drought, this was probably the best time for the ritual hunt.
Her eyes jerked around in the urgent, faced paced moments of trying to pick the elk. Actually, she knew the elk to kill, but it was mostly her trying to ruse her mind from the silent outburst Emiko had. She was pretty scared that she was behind her. Despite that she was in broad daylight with her packmates, she knew firsthand what rage could do to your mind. It demented you beyond reach. It took her a long time to recover from killing Achilles. It was really, really frightening. Finally, when her eyes settled upon the elk, she took a leap at its back leg and locked her jaws on it. The animal kicked her off easily, but the blood was flowing. A quick bark signaled for the pack to surround the animal and separate it from it's group.

Emiko watched Lya carefully, squinting, waiting for her to mess up. 'Mess up and prove to me that you are worth nothing.' She fumed, jaws grinding against each other in anger. Shaking herself off, Emiko leapt into the fray, jaws snapping. Her sharp canines glistened in the light, finding purchase on the elk Lya had chosen. The weak animal managed to throw her off, but she was far from done. Pumping all her anger into her paws, Emi leapt at the best, claws raking down its side, blood oozing in the soft light. It was actually pretty. Smiling to herself, Emiko remembered Brianos and how easy it was to kill him. 'I wonder if Lya will be just as easy.' She asked herself, bounding after the creature again.
Usdi's tongue lolled out of his mouth while he was chasing after the elk. He followed Lya's lead by running after a weakling, paws struggling to catch up. He had never been on a hunt before, so he had to watch the others to see what he had to do. Shrugging, Usdi ran up to the elk's flank, nipping at it's back legs. It got the blood going in his fur, and soon Usdi was getting warm. 'This is what it means to be in a pack. I can feel the friendship in the air!' He happily thought to himself, getting tingly from thinking about it.
Noquisi followed after Lya's lead, head down. She pumped her legs to catch up to the elk, ramming into its side to turn it the other way. The elk had been moving to the very edge of the territory, but now it was racing along the border. Noquisi latched her jaws onto the elk's shoulder, ripping out chucks of fur with her claws.

(sdgbsbsgbdb It's too late for me to be writing roleplay posts. What ever)
Lya watched as the three attacked the animal. Usdi looked a little insecure at first, she noticed, but afterwards seemed to be very proud of himself. He should be, he made it this far. But the way Emiko was looking at her. It was starting to rupture her thoughts, like a worm burying itself in her skull. Obviously Emiko carried a hatred for her. She had to make this perfect. She turned her head to the female and set off a glare like no other. She felt pretty bad at first, but it was pretty necessary. This wolf had stolen what she had presumed to be the love of her life then decided to run off with him then get mad at HER. Oh, the nerve. Her blood was boiling. As a quick stress reliever, she took a risky bite at the elk's back leg which resulted in an ear splitting bleat, either out of terror, pain, or for help. She would never know.

Heraclea bounced along with the rest of the pack to the place where Elk Run Creek used to flow. Now it was replaced by cracked, dry dirt. With a glance of suspicion towards the ground, remembering none too fondly her little mud incident, she followed her pack forward. Then she saw the elk. Each one was as big as two grown wolves, with sharp hooves and sharper antlers. They stood around tearing at the dried grass with thier flat teeth, completely oblivious to the pack waiting in ambush. Then Lya jumped out at them and they scattered, screaming as they fled. But one was slower than the others and lya sunk he teeth into its leg. It shook the Satrap off with ease, but then the others were there, snapping at the wounded elk in a way that made even Heraclea dizzy. Heraclea noticed Usdi in the fray, much shorter than the other wolves but looking as if he were having the time of his life. Heraclea herself was more hesitant. She didn't like the look of those hooves, large enough to crush her in a single stomp, so instead she retreated to a shaded spot to watch. She wasn't supposed to be hunting anyway.
