Watching the Vigoratus's struggles, Yanah could not help but suppress a smile. Rising to her feet, she walked over to where Noquisi stood next to her kill. " Well, you had me fooled. I thought you were going for the rabbit, " Yanah said, casting her gaze upon the tree. "Clever, making the squirrel think he was safe." Then she turned back to the healer and winked. "I'm just having some fun. Nice reflexes," she added, waving her tail over the squirrel. A look of confusion crossed over her features momentarily. She hadn't realized that she was talking so much until she noticed the other femme's silence. It felt so natural . . . and yet somehow she couldn't bring herself to embrace it. Pushing away the cloudy thoughts, she flicked her ears in parting then left.

Noquisi padded into the creek and washed off the paints. She was very happy at the turnout.

Noquisi padded through the sparse trees to the edge of the water. She saw a reflection of the bright blue sky and she lay down, just out of the waters reach. She sighed in content at the beautiful day.

Finally, after being swept away with the current, the broad river thinned out and flowed into Elk Run Creek, where Yanah manage to climb out if the water. Exhausted, panting and bruised, she lost consciousness next to the water.

Noquisi stared in shock at the Satraps body. She then pulled her out farther on the bank and checked Her breathing. She didn't hear any water inside her lungs and her heart was coming back to normal. The simulo made a quick trip to her den and came back with yarrow and thyme. She cleaned the water off so she wouldn't get a cold, and sat down next to her to make sure she was ok. She put the thyme and yarrow away because she didn't need it and waited anxiously for her to wake.

Yanah opened he eyes slowly to stare the canopy above and took stock of her situation. As fr as she knew, nothing was broken, however she was soaked and ached all over. Yanah tilted her head slightly to the left and noticed Noquisi. Staring at her, Yanah said, " I suppose this doesn't look too good." She looked at her healer with regret. " My own foolishness led to this. Please, let us keep this between us."

Noquisi nodded and asked, "Are you alright? I tried my best, but since you were out, I couldn't do too much."

"I'm fine. Bruised, but fine. The only thing damaged is my pride. I should not have abused the ability to speak with ancestors." Yanah looked down for a moment, ashamed. Then she met the Vigoratus's gaze. " I am lucky to have loyal pack members like you."

Apricus padded through the forest, taking in the musty smells of plants and mud until he reached Elk Run creek. He flopped down on his belly on the bank and watched the clear water flow smoothly down stream, carring sticks and various little fish in it's current. He pricked his ears as the sounds of conversation drifted to him from upstream. Curiosity getting the better of him, he stood and trotted towards the source. "What's up?" he asked suspicously as he spotted a tense looking Noquisi and a very wet Yanah conversing on the bank.

Just then Apricus approached the two. Immediately Yanah switched intO leader mode, sitting up and shaking the water out of her fur. "Ah, it's been a while Apricus. I merely went for a swim." She swept her tail in the direction of the creek. She didn't think he was foolish enough to buy that, yet it wasn't in her to advertise her escapades.

Ahava trotted near the creek and saw Yanah. "Hello, Yanah", Ahava greeted. "Anyways, I don't think this pack had tried hunting for elk yet. Should we give it a try later?"

Trotting from the direction of laurel grove, Lya coolly walked in the area of the creek, noticing Noquisi, a rather beaten Yanah, and Apricus. Blood crusted on her muzzle, Lya timidly muttered "Hey, guys."

Yanah bit back a grimace at the thought of running and jumping. "That would be a good idea," she said instead. She rose to her paws, doing her best not to limp, and nodded to Ahava. "We may as well try it now."

Apricus eyed the leader suspiciously, but let it drop. He yawned lazily then said, "Can't we hunt later? It's such a nice day."Then, indicating Lya's bloody muzzle, he added, "And it seems that Lya has already been hunting today."
ooc; Do we hunt for the entire pack like in warriors, just for ourselves, or is it conditional?

ooc; We usually just hunt small mammals for ourselves and when we want to make a kill for the whole pack, we gather up a few members and go take down a deer or an elk.
Lya nodded curtly, then spoke up more clearly "We should, I am pretty hungry, the mouse wasn't enough to satisfy my hunters instinct." she gave a weak laugh, and sat down on peaty ground.
