Makoto stood her ground, a growl escaping her teeth. "Who are you to ask, murderer? Even if you are in this pack, what is to stop me from telling your friends?" She wouldn't let that poor wolf die without trying. "Explain why you are covered in blood and trotting away from a dead wolf behind me, or I will tell them." Makoto announced, taking a leap. Would this wolf really care? Did she even belong in this pack? Did she have it all wrong?

Yanah danced to the side, her ears standing up straight and her hackles risen in dominance. "Id say they wouldn't be able to do anything, since I lead the pack," she sneered, waiting for the surprise on the other wolf's face. Her fur was on end, and she made no attempts to make it lay flat. "That wolf was a traitor. She blackmailed the other leaders and I. She attempted to kill me and my children. But you are her white knight, so I assume you will stick up for her anyway?" She growled, circling slowly around the other wolf. Now that she had tasted blood, she was out for more. If she so much as blinked, the Satrap would be upon her.

Makoto realized she was in the wrong and frowned slightly, embarrassment washing over her in waves. "I'm sorry I assumed you murdered her, but what would you do in my position?" Clawing the ground in unease, Makoto looked up, something hitting her. "Wait. Is that really how you would want to run your pack? To force them into submission if they disagreed with a decision?" She asked, standing up from the sitting position she had taken. "To let them run under the illusion that they had a choice only to rip it out from underneath their paws? I know I have absolutely no right to tell you how to run your pack, but if not me, then who, if this is how it works?" She questioned, not trying to pick a fight. Makoto's nature was just to ask questions until she got an answer she was satisfied with.

Yanah bristled, her rage mounting with every word. How dare she? This wolf had no idea what was going on in her pack, and had no idea what she was talking about. She only refrained from jumping on her because she was mildly tired. "You do not have the slightest inclination of what you are talking about. I don't run my pack that way, or at least, I didn't. But things have changed. Traitors and murderers are everywhere. We have another pack rivaling us just to survive, though I take it you're one of them," she growled, seeming to swell up larger as her voice grew in pitch. "My decisions keep these wolves alive. Killing that miserable wretch behind you was the only way to keep everyone safe." Her voice dripped venom.

Makoto did not flinch. Maybe she had a death wish. Maybe she was angry. Or maybe she just wanted to see what would happen. But the young wolf did not back down, and instead, leaned forward, staring right at the "leader." "I am not of any pack. What if I wanted to join yours? Would you treat me like a murderer or a traitor, anyway? Even if I hadn't challenged you?" She asked, only curiosity tainting her words.

Yanah's ears folded back angrily, though she did not rise to what she believed to be a taunt. "No," she said, audibly grinding her teeth. "Wolves are treated fairly this side of the woods. I would not perpetrate you, however much I dislike you right now," she went on, insinuating that Lycaon didn't exactly follow those standards. "Why do you ask?" She asked suddenly, tilting her head to the side. Did the courageous little beast before her need a home? She almost sneered at the irony.

"First impressions are important." She said flatly before trotting away into the forest on the other side of the woods, tail swishing back and forth. Makoto's ears stood up straight as she galloped away, but she was deep in thought. After a meeting like that, Makoto shouldn't want to join that pack. But... That leader was the most intelligent being she had met so far and she wasn't going to forget her soon. Were there others that smart? Or was Yanah the only one? She found it hard to believe that she hadn't met any of the others yet... She should go do that.

Ooc; Ahava is back with Emiko, not really in the scene unless you involve her o3o I might not be that active if u do tho cause hs is a pain q.q just needed a way to get Ahava out of her frozen spot without needing a response from lya, so I made her hear the howl and dart away O.o
Ahava approached the area with caution. She had spotted Yanah with an unfamiliar wolf, no doubt brewing up some apprehension inside the Satrap. But then she saw... the body. Emiko. What had happened? Yanah really lost it! I've seen enough! And then, with that, Ahava squeezed her eyes shut, the shock and fear really beginning to sink in, and turned around to leave quietly. She shouldn't have checked this out.
