Yanah finally stopped her rampage in the tall grasses of the meadow, having spent all her energy. The rain continued to mock her, it's torrential downfall plastering her fur to her and giving her an emaciated appearance. Inside she was hurting bad, and on the outside she was a wreck. Her friend had gone nuts, she had snapped at her remaining friends, and the pack was in shambles. Not to mention she had given up her biggest secret to the pack's biggest threat. She wasn't sure how to feel about that either, because neither Lya nor Ahava had seemed to care. But of course not, Lya always had her own agenda, and Ahava was too out of the loop to use it. At this exact moment and time she had no idea where anybody was, not that she wanted to be around them. They would just get their feelings hurt too. Sighing, Yanah laid down right where she was, oblivious to the mud and debris that immediately got into her once pretty coat. Right then she wished she could talk to somebody, anybody really, even her children. Perhaps tell them the truth, so that they didn't have to hear it from someone else in a ruder manner. Resting her head on her paws, she allowed the rain to wash over her and slowly pool around her sides. Maybe she would just lay here, just a bit longer...

Emiko appeared on the edge of the horizon, out of breath and with bleeding paws. She padded slowly down the slope to the figure in the mud, not believing her eyes. "Yanah! What a surprise." She said, voice devoid of any emotion besides gloating. "A little down on your luck, I see. Maybe talking to your kids would help? After all... It might be the last time." Emiko glared, sharp canines glinting in the flash of lightning.

Yanah lifted her gaze as the bane of her current existence flew down the slope, taunting her with her children's lives. She didn't bat an eyelash. "Killing them would save them from any other horrors you have planned for their life in this hell hole," she said without looking up. When she finally did, her gaze was similar to Emiko's, except her own was dead. There was just no hope anymore. "Why have you come here?" She asked tonelessly, zombiefied in the sense that she was just a body at this point. She had spiraled into a hopelessness that nothing would pull her out of.

Emiko barked out a cold laugh. Shudders ran down her spine at her own heartlessness. "I'm not going to do anything anymore. At least, not physically." She said, maw twitching. Her eyes were squinted up, mirroring her smile. Nonchalantly biting her paw, Eniko didn't notice the wounds reopening. She was a complete mess. Emiko's fur stood up in random places, the occasional twig peeking out from the matted mess, her paws were covered in mud and blood, the wounds torn open again by Emiko's bloodstained teeth. Her eyes... Her eyes were completely and utterly mad, twitching back and forth, much like her ears. "I want you to kill me."

Yanah stood, her own fur matted down and splayed strangely because of the water. "With pleasure," she growled, lunging. She had a little fight left in her, but not the right kind of fight. Not the kind that made you want to stand back up, but the kind that a desperate person got. It was the one last thing you did before you were gone. Soaring through the rain towards her, the Satrap bared her teeth and aimed for Emiko's throat.

Emiko, busy deep inside her own head, forgot she was talking to someone. Coincidentally, that someone was coming straight at her, and she barely had time to dodge the she-wolf before coming to her senses. "No fair!" She pouted, snapping her jaws at Yanah's hind legs. "I didn't even have time to make a move!" She said, grinning. "Am I going too fast for you?" She taunted, lunging forward again.

Yanah made a guttural sound and whirled on Emiko, meeting her lunge head on instead of trying to dodge. She was beyond caring what happened to her physically at this point. Jaws snapping, she tried to get some kind of purchase in the female's shoulder. She was probably only ripping out fur rather than doing actual damage, but she wanted that kill. Her paws scrabbled wildly, anything to inflict damage. The only instinct left was to kill, kill or be killed, though either she was fine with at this point.

Caught off guard by the suddenly frenzied attack from Yanah, one of her flailing paws clipping her across the cheek, drawing blood. "Oh! It is so on." Emiko growled, lowering her head and running toward the large figure in front of her. She aimed to barrel straight into Yanah to knock her over. All the joking from her eyes was gone. It was replaced by pure malice and hatred.

Yanah let her body relax at the last second so that the tackle turned into a roll, attempting to come out on top and drop her weight on Emiko. Gnashing her teeth, she snapped at the wolf's leg at an attempt to disable her. If she couldn't run and charge, she would be easy prey. In the rain and mud flying around, she didn't see the old Emiko. Didn't even remember helping to raise the yearling. There was only tinted red vision.

Emiko found the action of fighting futile. Instead, she gave herself in to the snapping and gnashing and tearing and ripping and breaking and bashing and smacking, feeling nothing after the first few shouts of pain. Tears ran down her cheeks from the realization that she didn't stand a chance against the older, more experienced wolf. Her mother stood in the background, her smell and form just out of view, but she could hear the voice... Yelling at her... Calling her a failure to her entire family. Emiko realized that this wasn't her mother now, but her mother back when she was a pup, always messing something up. Her mother never failed to keep her self-confidence low, but Emiko, being the wolf she was, kept smiling. She kept smiling and left her mother to the other wolves and dogs and found a family of her own. But everyone reminded her of her mother in the pack, especially Yanah. With her happy mate and happy pups... She was so sick of it all. Everyone should know how she felt. She didn't think it was fair that wolves could be genuinely happy. "Yanah, I'm sorry. It's just not fair." She whispered, not even caring if Yanah heard it or not.

Yanah paused in the ripping of Emiko's leg, her ears twitching. Had she heard something? No... she had said something. Turning so that she was looking at Emiko's face, she bared her bloodstained teeth at her. "What?" She snapped, little droplets of blood falling off her muzzle and onto the young wolf's coat. Why was she stalling? She needed to end this and just kill the miserable wretch already.

Emiko's eyes slowly moved to Yanah's and cleared her throat quietly. "I s-said... I'm...s-" She whispered, not finishing. A tiny shudder spread throughout her body and she automatically curled inward, becoming a ball the size of a large pup. Emiko's face gently formed a peaceful expression, finally happy that her pain was gone. One last stuttering breath marked the end of Emiko the wolf.

Yanah stared at her for a moment. She was what? Sorry? That chance was gone. "And as hell hath bourne onto earth a darkness, the earth hath bourne the darkness back to hell," she muttered darkly, crimson droplets still falling from her jaws every now and then. She lay her head on the young wolf's chest to see if she was breathing. She wasn't. With a satisfied growl, Yanah raised her head and howled her victory to the skies. The wind carried it up farther, adding an ominous effect. Now, to go and sort out the rest of the pack's problems. The crazed leader loped away, a sneer painted onto her face. Good riddance.

Makoto, drawn to the howl, peered through the underbrush at the gruesome scene. What she saw was the larger, darker wolf smiling darkly after muttering something to the lifeless body of her enemy. That wolf was murdered! 'This is terrible! That poor wolf! She was trying to say something at the end and the other wolf just.... Smiled!' Makoto thought to herself, shock numbing her body. 'This wolf needs to be brought to justice.' She thought, padding over to Emiko's body after the other wolf had left. 'I will avenge your death, innocent one. She will not get away with this.' Makoto promised, growling angrily as she ran after the other wolf.

Yanah heard footsteps behind her and whirled, teeth drawn back in a snarl. When she saw it was a stranger, her hackles rose. "What business do you have in these lands?" She demanded, her teeth clenched tightly together as she growled. She was fed up with the way things were going, and she was tempted to jump on this wolf and make her sorry for ever crossing paths with the Satrap. There was a crazed gleam in her eyes, which were fixed on Makoto.
