Emiko flicked an ear, mind-numbing rage filling her ears with a roar. "You really are an idiot. Was all of Mother's training for nothing?" She snarled at herself, sitting down on the bank, back facing the lake. Emiko had decided against traveling to Lycaon, and now Kaeso was out of the question. She couldn't be expected to traverse the countryside looking for a wolf. Knowing her luck, something would probably show up for her, making this whole charade much easier. Emiko's eyes scored the brush for someone, anyone, hoping she would get to act.
Oh, how she loved acting.

Lya confronted Emiko with no fear. She felt unstoppable with all this hatred boiling under her skin. There would be no mercy for Emiko if she attacked. She was pretty sure she would do something rash like that anyway. She was about to explode from all of this. Her pack was eventually going to be ripped apart by this wolf. If this happened, she would rip apart Emiko. Actually, she might even rip her apart anyway. She had no right to barge into here and do all of this. It appeared her emotions were showing no mercy to Emiko, either. It wasn't that horrible, was it? That was the real problem. She was glowering even more than before and literally biting her tongue with an intense amount of pressure.
Lya waited for her to say something first.

Yanah stepped onto the bank behind Lya, brooding silently. She wasn't nearly as mad, more like disappointed. It was like she was scolding a naughty child, except she would never see Emiko again after this. Sensing her companion's rage, she laid her tail momentarily on Lya before turning her gaze to Emiko's turned back. This was the right thing. "Emiko," Yanah said, gazing at the younger wolf and forcing herself to be somewhat emotionless. Emotion in front of a foe was weakness to be exploited. She didn't want to think about what would happen if this turned into a fight, but she knew the young wolf was outnumbered. The Satrap shook the thought from mind. No battle. Not yet.

Emiko's guess was right. Fate always found her, first. Sighing as she plucked a splinter out of her pad, Emiko licked her bleeding paw carefully before turning to Lya. "Lya! Yanah!" Emiko squeaked, eyes bright and round under her perked ears. Her tail wrapped around her paws neatly, and her head was lower than theirs. Everything about her posture was carefully calculated for the most innocent look she could achieve. Emiko blinked several times before sitting back, narrowing her eyes questioningly without messing up her best feature. "What's wrong?" Her heart thudded, wondering for a fleeting moment if they had found Brianos's body. No, that was impossible. They'd only find it if they went looking for it.

Yanah remained standing, expressionless except for her eyes, which were cold and reserved. She was keeping her emotions locked away, forcing herself to ignore every happy memory she had. "Drop the act. Have some dignity when you gave us for a final time," she said, unmoving. If she even looked away for a second, she thought Emiko might lunge. "This has gone on long enough. First your sourness during the drought, then your displaced anger at Lya, and now your threat to me," she rumbled, thunder clapping over head. "We've agreed that, bias aside, your joy ride is done."

Emiko's body drew into herself, the once playful wolf was now hard, jagged, and calculating. "Oh, really?" She mused, thoroughly enjoying every last bit of this conversation. "Now, would you care to break down everything you are accusing me of?" Stepping farther back, Emiko found a rock big enough to sit on.
Plopping down, Emiko relaxed and watched the incandescent lights flicker back and forth, counting until a loud blast of noise rained down on all of them. The tension in the air was buzzing as loud as the charged clouds that let noise cascade down upon all of them. She was waiting for the rain, but decided to continue anyway. "No, no, instead, allow me to do it for you. So, we have, one sourness during the drought. Are you really accusing me of that? Who wouldn't be sour? We had no water, it was hot, and the freshest kill we had had in days was that weak elk we just took down. I'm sure a lot of wolves were cranky. You are just grasping for reasons if that is one of your accusations." She said, licking a paw and drawing it over her ears.
"The next count of crime against this pack is misplaced anger. Assuming that my anger toward Lya was misplaced is a crime within itself, as if it were against any wolf in Lycaon for any reason, you'd be so proud. Was it not Lya who began glaring at me, first? All because she didn't get a guy to like her before he liked me? Or was it because he did like her first, and I just stole him away from her." She practically hissed, the lightning flashing her eyes a bright white color before darkening into a deep pit of hatred and insanity. "I think that you calling my anger misplaced is just another flimsy reason because Lya is your friend." Emiko smiled, grinning smugly to herself.
"Ah... But, now comes the best part. My threat against you. That was actually a ploy to see if you really did have a secret, and judging by how you reacted by telling on me..." Emiko rolled her eyes, chuckling to herself. "It turns out you do have a secret, Yanah. And the fact that Lya is here tells me that you told her. But, ah, here is the better part. You seem to have only told Lya. So, what is this secret? If I found out what it was, would it tear your life apart?" She asked, leaning in. "Because that, Yanah, is a secret that the pack should know. After all, your whole life is about making the pack a better place." She giggled, mimicking a fake Yanah voice. "Should the pack have to live a lie? Oh, and that wasn't a threat. Along with being a dig to see if you really did have a secret, it was also seeing if you trusted me and followed what I asked of you. Maybe the pack should know that you cannot keep a secret to yourself? Or maybe the pack should know that the only secrets you care about are your own?" Emiko asked, leaping down from the rock.
"As for you, Lya. You can have Kaeso. It turns out that he isn't for me. But he might be for a pair of lying, backstabbing wolves." She snarled, glancing at Yanah. "Anything else you would like? Want to kick me out of the pack on one count of lying on your behalf?"

((/thathitlyainthefeels))
Lya flinched at Emiko’s harsh words towards Yanah. It really didn’t make her wonder about the secret lover, though. The amber eyes and blonde fur that showed on the pups were no traits of Apricus. She recoiled as the once-blithe wolf turned into a conspiring being full of hatred. She had the nerve to say that she was backstabbing? This vexed her so. She felt like snapping at Emiko, but that would raise hell and only allow Emiko to antagonize her more than she already had. She narrowed her eyes as she began talking about her. Obviously if Emiko hadn’t slithered over there and started acting seductive her and Kaeso would be together right now, and possibly none of this would be happening. Ecstasy became cavalier, yes. How on Earth Emiko thought she was in the right, Lya would never know. The thunder’s reverberation was futile. The coruscation of the lightning in the distance finally brought the huffy wolf to her senses. Thunder, lightning, rain. She only produced the thought when the first raindrop fell. After that, it was a downpour.
Despite the sudden precipitation, Lya was still highly angry at Emiko. She finally spoke when she was done rambling. “Oh, yeah, because you never did anything wrong, did you?” The way Emiko perceived this was enough to drive her crazy. She maintained a pensive look about herself, but it was still obvious that she was cross. She quietly waited for her to reply.

Emiko spun slowly to Lya. After all, she had no where to go. She had all the time in the world. Locking eyes with the Satrap that was once her friend, Emiko blinked water out of her eyes. "It's not that I never did anything wrong. It's that you all believe that you did."

Lya slightly frowned at this. She did do something wrong. A wolf doesn’t go blackmailing a Satrap and act all innocent later. She wouldn’t be acting so defensive if she hadn’t, anyway. She slowly moved towards Emiko with her tail up and ears pricked forward. That was the display of dominance passed down from so many years before. It also meant something along the lines of ‘You do one more thing to provoke me and I will shred your ears!’. It applied very well to this situation.

Emiko was past bowing down to this wolf. Lya and Yanah were weak. They couldn't even call themselves a Satrap. Standing straight up with her eyes narrowed, Emiko bared her teeth. "Oh, yeah. And, I'm pregnant." She said, as if the mere thought had slipped her mind. "Do you have the nerve to injure me? Do you still have the need to kick me out of the pack?" She asked, eyes fierce.

Lya was annoyed beyond comprehension. Even if she really was pregnant, there would be no exceptions. This wolf had acted very rash. This would not be acceptable towards any other wolf, even more so for her an Yanah. They were satraps, the ultimate figures of authority. Lya glowered and replied to Emiko with an unwavering tone, “I do not care if you are knocked up, Emiko. You broke the law and you have to pay. You seem rather aggressive, anyway. You obviously aren’t too concerned with the wellbeing of your pups,”

Emiko bit her tongue, angry at herself. Lying about being pregnant had done nothing but anger Lya. Emiko was hoping for more of a shocking realization from Lya.
No matter. "It's not like any of you would care about the well-being of my pups, anyway. Ever since I came back from the mountains, everyone here has been treating me differently. I am no different a wolf than I was before. You just need an excuse, don't you. You were just waiting for me to snap! Well, I am not going to give you the satisfaction of kicking me out because I'm leaving." She said, shaking water out of her eyes.

Ahava sat and watched the turn of events in which she had backed out. Again. Oh, what a coward she was. She didn'tlike what was going on, but she had to tolerate it. "But then Emi said she was leaving the pack. Ahava won't tolerate this. "Wait!" Ahava interrupted. "This... could be a little too harsh. She needs a lesson, not to be kicked out! Please... can I... talk to her?" As soon as she said the words she wanted to take them back. Wait, Emi did deserve this. "Why can't anything be made right?" She accidentally said aloud, regret clearly resent in her voice. But what for?

Yanah sat silently through the tirade, rain water dripping down from her brow and into her eyes. Emiko's words hit home, but like everything else she shoved it down. She had more important things to attend to besides her own silly feelings. Her ears twitched every time the two of them verbally hacked at each other, flinching in her own way. "Stop this. Both of you," she began, turning her gaze from one to the other. Sucking in a breath, she swiveled her head to Emiko and met her gaze levely. "You want to know so bad? Fine. Apricus was never my mate- I practically begged him to pretend. Before Lycaon descended into anarchy, I fell in love with a golden furred male by the name of Helios. He's related to Astra- that's why the pups are golden. But he's dead now, so none of it matters. Tell the whole world. Howl it from Mount Unole if it would please you, I'm beyond caring. Its in the past. I always knew it would come back to bite me, but love surpasses judgement. I guess you wouldn't know that," she said, glaring at the sneaky minx before her. Lightning overhead illuminated the sadness in Yanah's eyes briefly before plunging them into darkness.

Emiko gazed at Yanah, eyes sad for a moment. Then, they turned angry as she realized that Yanah was insulting her. "You're right. I don't." She spit, standing up. "And you know what? I hope I never will." She retorted, padding away. Lightning shaking the very ground she walked on, Emiko walked away from the leaders, hoping to never return
