ooc; The following post is a past roleplay. This stuff happened a while back, and you can no longer interact with these characters at this moment. This is for plot purposes only.
Emiko padded carefully through the alley, her ribs showing through her pelt. She had been wandering around for months in these parts trying to find a certain wolf. She had left Kylarad saying that she had to go home to the mountains for her family, but in truth, she had no family in the mountains. Muttering a curse under her breath, Emiko licked a sharp piece of Upwalker trash off her now bleeding paw, continuing down the dark alley. Rats scuttled under garbage and shouts came from the adjacent houses, and the entire time, she felt the crawling feeling of someone watching her. Yes, the bright eyes of the rats followed her, but this... This was something her size.
"Why are you here, Emiko?" A sharp voice barked from the end of the alley. Startled by the sudden shout in the suffocating alley, Emiko was taken aback. But she was not surprised that this creature knew her name. Luckily, Emiko was standing downwind of this animal, and caught the faint scent of wolf. "I was looking for you, Hotaru."
"Why?"
Sitting down in a small area that she cleared for herself, Emiko tried catching a glimpse of the female wolf in front of her, but only eying a small part of her scarred muzzle. "I need you to teach me."
"Teach you... What?" The wolf spit out, stepping out of the shadows. Now the battle scarred she-wolf was in the dim light and Emiko could make out small details, like matted fur and ripped ears that lay back on her head. The most prominent thing that Emiko could see on the wolf called Hotaru were her eyes. The dark, beady eyes seemed small at first glance, but once she spoke, they seemed like pools of endless agony and hatred, but for whom, Emiko couldn't tell. They seemed to score down Emiko's side, raking wounds worse than if she had leapt out at her and clawed her in the face. "To teach me how to fight, Mom."
