Approaching the West Fork in the mountain, Emiko stopped to catch her breath. Even though the dark clouds hung heavy in the sky, she knew it was almost night, and that she had been traveling for hours. Her paws were sore, her chest ached, and her eyelids drooped. But sometimes, for power, you had to endure the pain and trek onward.
And so she did.
Finding a small, area with brown, stubby flakes of the usually long and green stuff, Emiko tried to get comfortable. She wasn't going to make this easy for Helios, and, in fact, wanted him to suffer as much as possible. A shiver ran down Emiko's spine, filling her with slight panic and dread, but she didn't know why. "Come make yourself comfortable." Emiko practically purred, smiling sleepily. Though her smile seemed subdued, the she wolf was ten times more alert than before, and her smile packed twice the venom it usually did.

Helios grunted as his paws struggled to pull him forward. He was build for open plains, and swimming, not mountain climbing. It irked him that they couldn't just go in the trees like normal wolves, but he wasn't going to say anything. That capricious wolf, Emiko, was bound to do anything. He just had to suck it up and keep going, and so he did.
As Emiko came upon the area he was utterly unimpressed by its shoddy demeanor. It didn't offer much shelter, but again, he would have to deal with it. As she invited him to get comfortable, Helios awkwardly shuffled under the shelter and attempted to get comfy. It just wasn't happening, though. He suppressed a smile and a quick sigh and focused on Emiko.
"What is it that you want?" He asked. He was genuinely confused as to why they were up here. Pretty weird.
(UGH HOMG. Lame RP post is lame.)

Ooc; Shush. Better than what I wrote. XD
Emiko took a moment to gather all her thoughts, deep breaths making her feel light-headed and crazed. Maybe she was. But Emiko didn't care. "So. To keep things from spiraling out of control, I need you. I'm going to tell you to march right into the thick of the Kylarad territory, and make yourself known." She said, gazing at Helios with intelligent eyes.
"You are to threaten, name-call, bully, and most of all, not get caught." Emiko said, as if she were speaking about the weather and not her "family's" fate. This made her sound bossy. But Emiko didn't care.
She was beyond caring.

Helios took in every single word the female was saying. Apparently he was to go in there and pillage, but why? It boggled his mind, at the least. Oh, well. Emiko had done this on this time, so she could afford a few questions.
"So, why should I do all of this?" he ask with an aloof tone. He felt like this wolf was about to explode any minute, but he tried to show no fear around her. It might provoke what lies within, and he didn't want to mess with that.
(BLUH. No muse at all.)

Emiko's grin would have caved the hearts of even the strongest wolves alive. It was filled with a love for all of the wrong things in life. Like, pups abandoned on the coldest of nights, and storms that broke leaders and inspired traitors. She thought long and hard about her answer, deciding on one that Helios would have to conform to. It was an answer that she was proud of, and that Lya, Ahava, and all her previous friends would have cringed at. Understanding the true monstrosity of a wolf that Emiko was had become impossible. Even she didn't understand what she wanted. All she knew was that this was going to be fun.
"Because if you don't, I will personally make sure that your pups die a slow and painful death. Not to mention the whole exile of Yanah thing once I reveal your secrets." She smiled, licking her lips. She was hungry.

Helios stood and stared at the power-hungry wolf standing before him. He felt asphyxiated, the air slowly leaving him and being replaced with icy fear. He was no longer torn. Innocent pups would die if he didn't do this. He clenched his teeth and tried to regain his air to reply, but air never came and just left him choking on nothing. The abhorrence of it all was utterly overwhelming to the lackluster male. His amber eyes reflected the phosphorescent lighting from far away, the rain no longer making them squint. His air had come back, but he had all but forgotten about it. The only thing that mattered now was getting into Kylarad, causing a scene, and getting out.
The brute finally spoke, that day in the pouring rain. Helios opened his mouth in the slightest and replied, "Okay,".
(BLUH, lame. You write so much better than I.)

ooc; Shush. All your good ones still add up to more than double my good ones.
ic;
Emiko smiled, all the previous thoughts fluttering away from her mind like crows from a sudden noise. "Oh, good, then. I just knew you couldn't say no." She laughed, forcing the air out like a harsh bark. "So. Shall I go rustle up some dinner?" Emiko asked, tilting her head back to look at Helios.

[Not really, but okay.]
Helios flinched at Emiko's smile. It was so tainted, so impure. But, it looked so genuine. That is just the defining detail that made it so frightening. He did not trust this wolf, not at all. In fact , the offer of food he did not even trust, not in the slightest. Although he was very hungry, there was no telling what sort of tricks she would pull.
Pulling an equally as genuine sly smile, Helios replied in a quiet, mannerly way. "Oh sure, I would love some food. However, perhaps I should join you? After all, a young wolf such as yourself might need a little help,"

Emiko raised her eyebrow, changing courses. She was going to make him go get some, but that wouldn't have been kind. "Sure. Rabbit or mice?" She asked, tilting her head. 'Let's hunt on the sacred grounds. That would really mess Kykarad up.' She thought, imagining the looks of horror on their faces. Their mauled, distorted faces, framed by fire and heightened by screams and cries of anguish. Shaking her head from the daydream, Emiko lifted a paw. "Come on. Let's go."

Helios replied cooly to Emiko's question, replying with "Rabbits, please," and continuing onward and farther down the trail. The rain began to let up slightly, although he didn't want it to. The more rain, the better. The rocks were sharp on his worn out paw pads, and the more he walked, the less trustful of Emiko he got. Frequently he turned and looked back at the wolf, afraid of anything she might do.

To be honest, Emiko wasn't even looking at Helios, and her mind barely registered the fact that he was glancing back at her. Emiko was busy thinking about all the new laws and orders she would give as soon as she came into office. All the pups would go through vigorous training as soon as they were four moons old, then, at six moons, they would fight to the death, and whoever won, got to become a Novus. All the Satraps would be forced to work for Emiko personally, or else everyone in the pack would be forced to watch the public execution of a pup of her choice. Tongue lolling out of her wide grin, Emiko truly looked the part of an insane, power-crazed wolf, who would stop at nothing to gain what she wanted. "Well, come on, then. What are you waiting for? The rabbits to come right out and lay down for you? Are you even sniffing?" She barked sharply, bringing herself back to the present.

Helios let loose a very audible sigh. He wished Emiko would just shut up and let him do as he pleased, but naturally her controlling nature wouldn't let that happen. Luckily, the fresh scent of a rabbit wafted through his nostrils and off he went, sprinting towards the rodent until it finally came into view, forgetting about Emiko altogether. The brown animal, sodden and shocked, stood frozen in front of Helios just as he managed to take a lunge, missing but only just. He followed the panicky animal and finally managed to catch up. His breath was raspy and harsh and he was barely holding on in the pouring rain, but the brute managed to get a hold on the animals hind leg. It was kicking, kicking hard, and his jaws were weak.
Helios clamped down harder, using all of his willpower, and managed to cull the rabbits compulsive kicking, and just managed to land a blow on the shoulder, knocking the breath out of the small animal and allowing him to strike the neck. Not the cleanest way of killing, but good enough. He waited for Emiko to return, howling just in case.

Emiko padded over to Helios, admiring the rabbit's struggles. What would it be like to kill something so... Tiny? So... Helpless? Emiko imagined it to be worth the mess. Not worth the wait, though, since it was over so quick. Suddenly, a strong urge came through Emiko like a winter breeze. She didn't want all this planning, because planning involved waiting. She was going to kill one of the pups, anyway, so why wait? "You know, Helios... I had a change of heart. I'm not going to make you go through with all those things. I don't want power over the pack..." She trailed off, looking contrite and sad.

Turning from the carcass, Helios faced Emiko. He was more confused than before, seeing as one minute she wants to take over Kylarad, the next she doesn't. This riddled his mind greatly. At first, he thought she had just had a sudden epiphany but then something hit him. She was definitely more twisted than he could have ever imagined. All the horrible things she might be considering right now. He felt the urge to attack, to rip out her throat, but no. He resisted with all his might, every ounce of his will, because he knew that would only worsen things.
Taking a deep breath, Helios replied with a clipped sounding, "Why?"

With a smile as wicked as evil itself, Emiko backed away. "Because all I want is for you to feel the same way I do." She said, darting down the mountain, barely watching where she placed her paws. Rocks and pebbles tumbled down the side of the mountain as the she-wolf crazed with a hunger ran down as fast as she could. 'Just... Need... To... Make... It... To... Kylarad... Before... Helios...' She panted in her mind, hunger growing with each step. 'Which pup to choose? How... About... Ajax!' She thought, blinking wildly. Her thoughts were racing and she was seeing black dots in her vision. Never before had Emiko run this fast, and she would never again.
