Emiko wandered the plains, searching for the one wolf that could set everything over the edge. "Helios!" She howled, calling for him. She didn't even know if he was alive, but she was almost sure of it. "Helios!" She yelled at the top of her lungs, sitting down in the middle of the meadow. Nothing was around her. It was as if she were the only one on the planet.

From far away, Helios' ears caught the calling from far, far away. He pricked his ears as the wind crossed him and wiped away any expression. He padded slowly towards what he presumed to be the direction it came from. He had been waiting for Lycaon to find him, but Lycaon wasn't coming back. A smell of stale fear reeked from his skin. What was he waiting for? Not even he could answer that. He pretty much only lived to breathe.
For him, something was always coming. It never came, but it disturbed the grass and broke branches and kept him awake all night. He realized, after a little bit, he was walking particularly slow. Whatever, whoever was calling him could wait. After all, they were on his time. That is, what was left of it. The grass was brittle and broke under his paws. It reminded him of his fur, his stupid curly, yellow, fur. Oh, how he wished he was a full-blood wolf. All those years of cruel insults began to avalanche upon him as he squinted in the rain. Just a few minutes ago it was perfectly dry.
He quietly approached a young female wolf. She carried Kylarad scent, so he was wary to approach and hesitated before quietly stepping out of the brush.

Emiko turned to Helios, happy that he came. "Hello, Helios. My! Look at all that golden fur..." She sneered, seeing the resemblances in the pups and him. "I called you here to discuss something... Something very close to my heart." She said, taking on a very political tone.

Helios grimaced as Emiko mocked his aureate fur. She didn't seem like the type to jeer, but wolves change. He learned this lesson quickly. As the she-wolf's oddly giddy tone flattened into monotone, he listened intently. Something close to heart. Wonderful, just what he needed. Some wolf pouring her heart out.
His grimace loosed into a mask of boredom and he replied slowly, "Well, we should get out of the rain first. Getting a cold will do nothing but further delay your... urgent message," The sentence sounded awkward, and Helios realized that he his speaking skills had become very rusty. Oh well, just have to deal with it.

Emiko nodded curtly, glancing at the mountains in the distance. "We go there. A cave awaits on the outskirts of the mountains." She said, shaking more water out of her eyes. "Unless... You and Yanah have something better to do...?" She smiled deviously, paw raised in question.

Naturally, Helios scowled at Emiko's mention of a relationship between himself and Yanah. It was true, albeit preposterous. He didn't want to show that it was true, though, so he covered by replying, "I don't know what you're trying to get at, friend," he took a breath, "But Yanah and I never had anything going on," as he finished, he waited for Emiko to show him to said mountain cave.
((Lame post, I wrote it while I was at school eating breakfast. Total lack of muse.))

Emiko shrugged. "Denial is fine." She said, swishing her tail. The conversation was over for her, and she looked up at the sky. The rain was still coming down hard, but it felt nice. Her pelt, on the other hand, was soggy and heavy, and Emiko wanted nothing more than to curl up and eat something. Instead, she trotted forward, wondering what the mountain was like, and whether or not there actually was a mountain cave.
