Lya coughed to clear her throat and recuperated to continued the ceremony quickly. "So do you, Usdi, accept the rite of passage?" she asked. Actually, who could deny the rite of passage? It would be pretty silly, actually. The question was rhetorical. Although, seeing as how giddy he looked, he wouldn't be denying it.

Ahava's gaze rested on Usdi when his name was spoken. She was happy to see how excited he was to become a Novus, and she smiled. The two other Satraps did a great job on the ceremony, too.

Usdi vigorously nodded, eyes gleaming. "Yes, I do." He said, realizing that these three simple words meant the world to him in that moment.

"Then so we shall. Everybody up!" She ordered, however in a sort of friendlier manner. After all, Usdi was crossing over from pup to yearling - one of the biggest challenges of a young wolf's life. The female removed herself from the boulder and took a spot where the lead of the hunting team would go. Satraps, Secundus, Tirtius... Speaking of Tirtius, where was Emiko? She hadn't paid any attention to her leaving and never bothered to see where she went. The pack needed her more than Kaeso, so she decided to get the girl's attention somehow.
She let out a fierce howl, to most it would seem to be there just for emphasis, to others it's true meaning. If she didn't come, Lya would mouth off to her something fierce. Silly girl, going off and putting love before pack. Foolish. Very foolish. To think she almost did the same, it was ridiculous. Kylarad always came first. Love was only a distraction now. Hah, she didn't care about Kaeso, she didn't need him. No, he wasn't even remotely interesting.

Yanah dismounted from the rock and stood next to Lya, her expressionless gaze turning upon Usdi. Leaning down, she explained, "You are going to go on your first hunt, to seal your place among us." Rising back up, she took a mental count of the wolves present and attempted to sort their ranks. As she was just realizing that Emiko was gone, Lya let rip a painstakingly loud howl beside her. Yanah flicked an ear, though in truth it had actually both hurt and surprised her at the same time. They were right next to each other! Raising a quizzical eyebrow at her fellow Satrap, she turned her gaze to the place where the newcomer has disappeared off to... along with their Tiritus. Sensing the hostility in the leader's howl, she edged slowly away until there was space between them. She wouldn't put it past her to lash out in a rage if Emiko had... Well, if she'd done anything really. Love was painful.
Ajax jumped to his paws and puffed out his chest, sauntering on up to stand behind the wolves. He figured that if he pretended to belong, they might not notice him and he'd get to go on a real hunt! Of course he'd have to stay out of the way; elk were big and scary. Mainly he wanted to go because it meant he could watch his family in action, instead of just hearing it in a story.

Emiko trotted out of the forest, eyes wide. What was going on? Lya sounded like she was angry, or something. "Yes?" She asked, padding forward and dipping her head to Lya. Usdi looked proud. Had she missed a ceremony? What would Lya do?
Usdi grinned. "I can't wait!" He exclaimed, proud to finally be doing something for his pack. This would be his first hunt ever! 'I hope I don't mess up,' Usdi thought to himself, the worry weighing like a stone in his belly. Even though, the young wolf's tail wagged happily, the howl not distracting him at all.

Lya noticed Yanah's surprise at her howl, and in turn raised her eyebrows and cut her eyes to Emiko. Hopefully she would pick up the signs. Actually, only when she had turned did she notice Emiko. She was hoping to go for a general direction. Lya cut her head to the girl and gave her a small, disappointed glare, then continued to Elk Run Creek.

Ahava jumped when Lya suddenly howled a little too loudly. What for? The Satrap couldnt even wonder. But then Emi showed up. Oh! That's why. But she didn't think any wrong of the Tirtius. Anyway, she nodded and left for the hunt.
Ooc; I had to rush ^^'

Emiko was shocked for a moment at the glare, then frowned, hackles rising. 'Oh, so that's how it's going to be. She acts like the right one in front of her pack by calling me out, then I am looked at as the one in the wrong. She's just angry that I fell in love with Kaeso.' Emiko fumed to herself, glaring right after the Satrap left.
Usdi was oblivious to all the tension and glaring, just happy to be a Novus. Well... He would be one officially once he completed the hunt. And with that thought, Usdi trotted away after his leader.
Noquisi narrowed her eyes, wondering what was going on. Lya and Emiko seemed to be angry at each other. But, ignoring them, Noquisi followed the others to Elk Run Creek.

Heraclea slipped into line behind her brother. Maybe she'd get to help take down a real, live elk! She padded close behind Ajax, tail held high in excitment.
