Noquisi carried Apricus into the long, leafy grasses, laying him down near a large, empty grave. She carefully laid him into the grave and began piling dirt onto him slowly. As the fallen wolf's face was covered, she dropped a daisy into the grave that fluttered to a rest beside him. "Goodbye, old friend. May your hunting never cease and your weather run clear." She said, voice soft and gentle as she filled the last bit of dirt in.

Somewhere, a meadow lay sprawled before her eyes. Just what was the place at once? The wind entangled her in its icy grip.
She was with one of her wonderful pack members. Just wandering around at first, but eventually meeting up with him. But something happened. She suddenly panicked, as the memories flooded her over and over, and the flood became physical. She kept crying. She wouldn't be leaving the stage of the waterworks show soon.
「GO BACK! GO BACK!」 she kept screaming, as she attacked the beetle crawling across the plot of the story. A bird with feathers like a flower arrangement dived down and ate it, then circled back. The bird seemed to call out 「you with the crooked teeth. The bird was pointing out her complexion - talk about disrespecting those higher on the food chain! She could eat the bird like it was nothing, just like Pandora did to Apricus.
Just like Pandora did to Apricus. Lya was no better. She was living a life of sin and regret, nothing more. She needed to do it soon, to go far away. Her pack, her friends, her job as satrap. Just about - no, everything, restraining her from doing just that.
Starting at the circle of oaks, a small group of wolves settling the area. It once belonged to something else, but then Kylarad found it and consumed it all.
Within, an emotionally unstable leader trying to hold it together.
The emotions finally slide into place. She can't go. Not ever.

Claudius sat just within the line of trees, hidden by the shadows and watched. Alone in the meadow was a she-wolf who appeared to be quite distressed. He watched her sympathetically as she cried and screamed and when she finally grew silent he considered approaching her. It would be most out of character for him to simply walk up and introduce himself, but she seemed so very lonely. Finally, after much indecision and gathering of courage, he limped forward into the long, waving grass and stopped so that he was just out of range should she decide to attack him. "H-h-hello," he suttered, as was his natural way of speaking.

Once it seemed clear that the she-wolf wouldn't be responding to him, Claudius stood with a sigh and limped off to continue his quest. It was time for him to join a pack. He was tired of constantly wandering the forest and was ready to settle down. Little did he know he was about to walk out of the forest and onto a battle field.

Finishing her checking of the clearing around her for hidden wolves, Emiko trotted into the clearing, several voices talking in her head at once. "Quiet, all of you!" She hissed, sitting down. Emiko drew her paw over her face in long sweeps, smoothing down fur. "Now. Before I go meet Kaeso again, we need to think of a game plan. What should we do about Yanah?"
"I say we kill her!" "Oh, hush, you. All you ever want to do is kill. We killed Brianos for you, so you should be grateful." "What if we find out what her secret is?" "Ooh, yes, I love that idea. She thinks we know what it is, but that silly old wolf couldn't be more wrong. Emiko, it looks as if your plan of digging into an unknown secret was right. Now we just need to find the right wolf to ask about it." "Hmm... Yes... Maybe a trip to Lycaon is in order?" "Indeed! Armell or Pandora don't seem like the kind sort. What if we go ask them about a possible secret?" Why should they listen to us?" "Duh, idiot, Emiko is the Tirtius. If this higher ranking wolf offers information for information, they'll be sure to give us what we want." "And what do we want?" "To kill Lya!" "Shut up! You'll get to kill in a while." "Aw, but why not now?" "Do you have rocks for brains? We can't take on the whole pack!" "True... I think we should go see Kaeso. Lya is totally unstable as a leader; we can use that as leverage. Yanah has a secret; if it is bad enough, she should get kicked out of the pack." "Or killed!" "Yeah, yeah, but what about Ahava?" "That spineless wolf couldn't hurt a fly. I doubt she will stand a chance against us." "Right. To Lycaon?" "No, to Kaeso!"
Emiko nodded. "Very well, then. Let us all go find Kaeso. While we are walking there, think of romantic nonsense to tell Kaeso about our 'undying love for each other.'" She laughed, not sounding like a laugh at all. Emiko's laugh sounded sharp like glass, and as blank as snow. Just as cold, too. Emiko stood up quickly, the voices sedated for now, padding away.
