Matvey walked down the streets, a piece of scrap metal and an old knife in his hands. He had seen many things throughout the epidemic. When he went to the doctor at the beginning of this whole thing, they told him he was immune. He was extremely happy to hear this news. But it pained him to watch his friends and family die around him. Mat tried his hardest to stay positive, resorting to laughing away the pain. Of course, Copper always helped keep Mat in a good mood.
Matvey walked down the streets, thinking happy thoughts. 'Maybe others are still alive. Surely there is someone else, right? There has to be. He walked down the streets he once knew as being lively. He had no real goal, just keep moving and live. If someone found him, then they found him. That's how it works for him. Suddenly, a piece of rock fell from a building up high, landing only inches away from him. He looked up at where it came from and saw no one, so he continued on his way.

It was cold and sticky sensation that awoke the nineteen year old. Her eyes opened though she saw only black, it was nothing new or scary to her. It had gotten quite old waking up blind day after day but still something she was used to. Her hands hovered in the air for a moment or two before she felt the warm fur rub against her palm. He was the own way that she could survive, Koda her Seeing Eye dog. A loving and protective dog was how she found food, safe shelter, and kept away from the infected. Robin was lucky that she got him before this all started and was lucky to still have him today.
Getting up from the cold ground she slipped the old rope she used for Koda's collar over his neck and started to make her way out of the building. Stepping down from the abandoned house she slept in Robin stumbled slightly. "Alright let’s see if we can find some food or someone." She said cheerfully to her friend. He pulled her along barking if something was in the way or something was wrong. This was how she made her way down the old roads. She could feel the warmth of the sun beat down on her and she slightly wondered if anyone else was as well. Robin always liked people but no one wanted to help a blind girl.

John hesitated, debating whether or not to call out to the person when another noise caught his attention. A soft snuffling sound around the corner. He pulled the switch blade out and cautiously moved to have a look. He was expecting to see an army of infected preparing to feast on him, but what he found instead were a couple of kids--well, they weren't kids excatly-- and a dog. "What do you two want?" he asked bluntly, holding the knife between himself and the pair.

Jack took a defensive position, holding Fry in front of him by his collar, while Katie stood up quickly. "Well, we should ask you the same thing! I haven't seen you in these parts, sir. But, are you sick?" She asked, frowning. Katie didn't like to talk meanly to people, still, even if it was the end of the world. "Because if you are, we will be forced to get rid of you."
Jack narrowed his eyes to this newcomer. He didn't look like the normal person. He looked... Smarter. Like he had answers to things.

Josh was surprised that the girl had spoken first. She appeared to be the younger of the pair. He smirked to think she was capable of killing him. "I don't know," he said, playing along, "I have been feeling a little. . ." he dropped off and coughed loudly into his sleeve.

Katie walked up to the man, squinting. "So, are you sick?" She asked again, frowning.
Jack put his head down, rolling his eyes. He could tell that the guy was faking it, and Katie might or might not know. If she knew, it was going to end badly for the man. If she didn't, well, it would end badly for the man.

Matvey walked into the area where he saw a bunch of kids, two with a dog, one with a knife. "Hey, what's going on? Why wasn't I invited to this party?"

"Well, I haven't tried to eat you yet. . . I'm gonna go with no," said Josh, starting to walk away. At the corner he looked back and saw the two hadn't moved. "Are you coming with me or not?" he asked. There was safety in numbers, but he didn't want to aly himself with people who weren't going to agree with him. ooc; sorry vilk, I was writing when you posted. . .

Talia had been alert to a man's presence the entire time. Because he was hesitant to approach, she hadn't done anything but pretend to browse the shelves. Now that he and two kids were conversing about their illnesses, she was done pretending. "Move and die." She was suddenly in the shop window, her arms outstretched and a pistol zeroed in on the older man's head. "Keep that sickness away from me."

Jack's eyes widened, and he put his hands up. "Woah, woah. He was joking. It's alright." He said, walking slowly to Talia. "Just... put the gun down..." He murmured, not taking his eyes off of her.
Katie let a gasp of air pass through her mouth, sweat trickling down her neck. Never before had someone pointed a gun at her. She felt powerless and terrified at the same time, and was glad that her brother kept calm in times like these.

Josh sized up the two new comers. The girl had a gun, his pathetic little knife was no match for it. "I'm not infected and I can prove it," he said, not daring to move any more than was necessary to talk.

Talia didn't lower the gun, but instead turned on Jack. "If you don't think I won't shoot you, keep walking," she threatened, cocking the gun with a small click. Glaring at all of them, she sized up her options. Her best bet would be to run. If she could get out of range of their weapons, whatever they may be, she'd be home free. "You can be sick without knowing it," she retorted to the man, edging slowly around the group until her back was to the open road.

"You won't make it on your own," Josh told the silly girl with the gun. "But if you don't believe me, just keep walking and you'll die alone. And I'm sure I'm not infected. How, you ask? I'm a doctor. Doctor Josh Johnson. Don't believe me? Lower the gun and I'll show you," he said calmly, keeping his knife in plain sight.

Talia narrowed her eyes, but didn't respond. Instead she whirled around and booked it in the opposite direction, her boots causing a thudding sound every time they hit pavement. She was fairly in shape, so she was able to run about 7 blocks before really tiring. She slowed to a gentle jog, then stopped running completely. This, she deemed, was a good enough distance. The man was wrong. There was strength in numbers until someone got infected, then it was just a matter of time until they turned on your group. No, she was far safer alone where she didn't have to rely on anyone but herself.
After she'd regained her breath, Talia resumed walking down the sidewalk. The emptiness and lack of noise was unsettling. At every turn she expected one of the creatures to jump out at her. She'd switched from her gun to the short sword again now that those, well, those zombies could come at close range.

Josh watched the girl run out of sight before turning to the others. "Anyone else going to run?" he asked.
