"Sure", Ahava replied, just noticing that she was hungry too.

"OK, so how about over there near the boulders on the sand. Ah, so, scratch that, there might be snakes there. How about under those bushes, near the woods?" She asked.

"Alright, lets go!" Noquisi said, trotting off towards the bushes. Once she reached within ten feet of them, she sniffed the air. She smell two mouse trails, one going one way, another a different way. She signaled she'd go to the right, and waited until Ahava was in position.

Noquisi signaled to go and she carefully padded into the bushes, barely making a sound.

Noquisi sniffed around for the mouse, and saw it sitting near the bottom of a tree, and it wasn't facing her. Sadly, she was upwind from it, so she wanted to make this quick. She saw it was very intent on eating the nut it had, and the crunching noises were too loud to notice anything. She carefully leaped on it, and crunched its spine. It went limp in her jaws, and she felt very satisfied. Noquisi didn't want to disturb Ahava's kill, so she went a long way back to the clearing. along the way she found a second mouse, and quickly killed it also. She felt very happy that she made a double kill, and her mood lightened. She quickly padded back to the clearing, and waited for Ahava.

Ahava watched the mouse carefully, but to her surprise the mouse turned around and saw her. As it turned around and began to flee, Ahava gave a swift and wild leap at the mouse and almost missed it, grabbing it by the tail. She delivered a hard blow on the mouse's spine and it went limp, hanging by its tail in her jaws. She then met Noquisi at the clearing and saw that her hunt went well too. "Ok," Ahava said, trying very hard to figure out to say, "what should we do now? Should we hunt for more mice?"

"I think we should eat them while they are fresh. " She replied. "How about we share the second one I caught, and eat them at the oaks? Noquisi felt weird about telling her Satrap what to do.

Ahava also realized that she had asked for orders from the young Vigoratus. Obviously Ahava wasn't used to being a Satrap, for she hadn't been one for that long. I have to start to take more leadership, but not now, because it would feel wierd taking back a question that was already answered. I will start to take more leadership next time. "Alright", Ahava replied. Ahava then started toward the Circle of Oaks and waited for Noquisi to catch up.

Noquisi trotted after Ahava, her stomach grumbling the entire way.

Yanah walked into the clearing, head turning from side to side curiously. Where was everyone? She hadn't seen anyone all afternoon, and it rather bothered her.

Lya trotted nervously through the small clearing, and noticed Yanah. With a small flick of her tail for a greeting, Lya sped off to the small pond.
